After I capture my video from my DV camera for a few minutes, my PC freeze so
I have to reboot it. Then I see that a Windows media video (.wmv) file of 34
MB (which is part of my whole video) and a TMP file of 937 MB.
What should I do to avoid that ?

What are the pc specs. How much are you capturing in one go? Do you get any
error messages? Try windv as this may help, to capture your video. Link here

I have a Compaq notebook, Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, Windows XP SP 2.
I want to capture about 10 to 15 minutes. It worked the first time (1 week
ago) then now, I tried 4 times and it freeze after about 5 minutes. I don't
get any error message, I just see that CPU is at 100 %.
With my camcorder, I have a software to capture video called "Samsung DVC
Media 5.1" which gives me a windows media video file (.asf) but when I try to
import it into Movie Maker, I have this error message : "The file is not
indexed and cannot be imported".

Is the camcorder digital, if so use firewire.
