Can not remove program from desktop

Windows XP SP2. I tried to install spy ware blaster and my connection
crapped out about half way through the download. I subsequently
completed the download and install but a setup of the original download
remains. When I right click and try and to delete, I am informed that
it is being used by another program. I tried to remove through
Documents And Settings/profile/desktop and by signing on as admin.
Still can not get rid of it. I can find no process running that might
be related to this. Any ideas?

You should be able to loggoff & log back on, and then do your remove.
At worst, restart into Safe Mode, then delete the file.

How do I delete an "undeletable" file:

1. Close all open Programs
2. Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open.
3. Start > Run and type:

taskmgr.exe

4. Go to the Processes tab and End Process on Explorer.exe.
5. Leave the Task Manager open. Go back to the Command Prompt window and
change to the directory the undeletable file is located
in. At the command prompt type:

DEL <filename>

where <filename> is the file you wish to delete.
6. Exit from the Command Prompt window. Go back to Task Manager, click
File, New Task and type:

EXPLORER.EXE

to restart the GUI shell.
7.Close Task Manager.
