I'm looking to buy the software to convert some of my videos to DVD. Does
anyone have any do's or don'ts on this? I see there is Sonic My DVD,
Pinnacle and others. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi J.....give Movie Factory a try....you can use it for a trial
period, and its about $50 if you buy it. You can find it at
www.ulead.com .....as you say there are many others too...
including 'click to dvd' , 'nero', 'avs converter' , 'roxio', 'sonic' etc etc
If Wojo reads this, he's going to start thinking I work in the Movie Factory
or something!! ha ha ha

I'm surprised people haven't accused me of the same ;-)
Hi J. There is a short list of DVD authoring programs on my website in the
DVD Programs section along with links to the author's websites. Most of them
offer a trial download. But I agree with dickmr completely. I have tried
quite a few authoring programs and Movie Factory is by far my favorite but
that doesn't mean the others aren't good as well.

FYI dickmr
Since I know you love Movie Factory just as much as I do you really need to
download the trial version of Ulead DVD workshop 2 (info on my site in DVD
Programs section) it is incredibly powerful and has everything you could
ever need in DVD Authoring software. The learning curve is a bit bigger but
I only started playing today and I love it so much that I am planning on
popping for the $400 it costs to buy the full version!
