Hi Bert,
The problem is that Acrobat Reader was installed
previously.
Yet after sending or receiving emails the Outlook Express doesn't recognize
the file type when opening is tried.
Thanks
sjb

Hi,

You will have to install Adobe Reader to open .pdf files. It's free.
Adobe Reader - Download

What are the exact steps you are taking to open the pdf file?

If you remove the attached pdf from OE and click on it, does it open?
