i am using wmm2.1 to capture dv from a sony camcorder using a firewire port.
i have decent hardware(512mb, p4 2gz) and recently applied the sp2.
the wmv capture from insidee wmm works fine, but after 5 mins or so, the
progress timer on the capture preview window starts to get jumpy.if i stop
the capture and look at the captured wmv in wmp or inside wmm, it (both the
audio and video) also gets jumpy after a while. i repeated this experiment
with the preview turned off during the capture, but had the same effect.
audio/video is perfect durign the first 3/4 mins and then gets jumpy.
any help is appreciated.

just some things for you to check. Are all background apps shut down during
capture? Are you trying to capture to a second hard drive by chance? If so,
check the transfer mode. Might be too slow.
