I have had 15 years on my computer.. this one is 3 years old... problem arose
After I did a suggest windows up date to further secure my computer... right
after that I started getting drop down warnings from my Norton Security which
is good till o6, ran a scan, result infected key registry, said my browser
was hyjacked in the start up program.... also something about dot error load
would not work...
So I contacted my server, which suggested I add Beta Spywear.. It also said
same... Did remove registry key as suggested and quarantined dot errror, said
medium risk... Well fine and good (Yes I can get on Outlook and Explorer, but
fouled of my Kodak program.. Cannot send out pictures to share. email.
Also tried to download a program for my husband business all went well until
the point of Register the active shield... crashed said (unhandled exception
ERROr #0x80040707 DLL funstion crashed ESPLicense validationn set up
terminated...

Please help me get this thing up and running.
Question if your remove a registry key via Beta... How does one make it
function again...

System Restore, available on the start menu../accessories/system tools/.. will restore the registry key. (I do not recommend this
solution.)

You have probably exposed winsock damage when you removed the spyware.

the netsh command in SP2 can rebuild your Winsock. Open the command prompt and type: netsh winsock reset , then press ENTER.

Thanks for the reply Mark....Interesting you said that you do not recommend
this solution..... are you saying try netsh command.? Stick with me on this!
One step at a time....

Need further help on the Nortorn drop downs

did start , run config, to see what was happening...at the very bottom
were two lines with square zero's as if something is missing...(correct)?
