cd-rw drive wont write

windows xp - when i put in a new rw-cd ti copy i get a
message that says " no disk in drive " brand new in cd-rw is in slot --when
i check properties , i get" o spac used" --"o space aviliable" yet out of a
5 pack of new disks 1 did work and was able to write to it. Is ther any one
in the whole world that can help? drives will read and work othere than
when i need ti write to it. Is ther any format program i can use on windows
2000 XP proffesional o0ut there that may help me my 98 system was able to
format ---it was great i wrote over &over without a hich. help help help

XP will not format CD-RW natively. They will be treated as standard CD-Rs
only. To format CD-RWs, look at Roxio's Easy Media Creator (Drag to CD) or
AHead's InCD.
