I have the same problem with my internal DVD-RW (Pioneer DVR-12KD) on a
Toshiba Satellite notebook. I can't read DVDs, I don't even get an
error message it just thinks its an empty CD. I have this problem ever
since I installed an external DVD Writer (SONY) via USB on my laptop.
After this my DVD only worked once more. After that it has been dead.
Does anybody know a solution? I don't want to reformat I'm not even
sure that that will work, after reading all that i have read. I can't
even reformat with the original disk because my laptop does not read
DVDs and backup is on a DVD.
Thanxs
