Can't download pics from Lexar multicard reader

 I am having a problem downloading pics from a smart media card. I
plug the multicard reader into the USB port and the computer does
recognize it, but I am unable to download the pictures. Just for the
heck of it, I tried it on my Mac and did not have any problems. Am I
missing a command somewhere? We did have a new hard drive installed
back in November, and this is the first time I have tried to download
photos from my digital camera. When I had the old hard drive it worked
just fine. I had to reinstall the operating system, of course, and I am
wondering if something is missing somewhere?

Jonorth,
I notice a firmware update for multicard readers on the Lexar site;
'Firmware updater V1.28 for USB 2.0 Multi-Card Reader'
Since I don't know which model you have, this is just a guess.
Product Affected
Part Number RW018 Rev A or RW018 Rev B of the Multi-Card Reader. The
part number is found on the back label of the reader.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Treeman

Does it show up in Windows Explorer as a Drive letter? If not open Disk
Management and change to an unused letter. (Help and Support, Disk
Management)
