How can i find out what BIOS i'm using, I have a Mercury mainbard with
SiS Chipset : KOB 740 FDMx : AMD Athlon Duron 2.1GHz : ATX Micro
motherboard : Running WindowsXP Pro : I also want to test my BIOS
and if necessary reset BIOS.
I also installed a USB Packard Bell Diamond 1200 Plus 48-bit true
colour Scanner, my pc gives no indication of faults, my scanner and USB
drivers have all been tested, both types of drivers are confirmed as the
ltest updates. I press panel button, panel icon reads "ready to scan"
but every time i try to scan, either hardware button or software button
i always get error message "scanner not connected check cables and
connections" but they are fine, I then close the error message, and get
another reading "scanner not ready", I've tried Roxio Easy Media
Creator, Ulead Photo Express 3.0 SE and windows wizard, but get the
exact same error messages on all, scanner is new. I would be very
gratefull if anyone can help me in these 2 matters, there might even be
related problems. (ps. no conflicts in device manager). Thankyou
Eamonn44.
