Trying to install a new hard drive

Hi all...
I just bought a Seagate ST3200822 200GB hard drive to replace my Maxtor 40GB.
I installed it and mapped it in BIOS, and started the PC.
When Windows gets to the desktop, it works on detecting it, but after about
30 seconds it crashes to a Blue Screen of Death with the error message:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

The only way I get that to stop (so far), is going to Msconfig and turning
off all my services; then however most of my programs won't start.

I'm wide open to suggestions!

Thanks.

Al Davis

Sounds like you have the swap file set to a partition that is changed when
the new drive is installed. If so, uninstall it and go back and change the
swap file to a location that will exist when the new drive is in place.
