I want to do a clean re install of XP on my laptop, I want to save all my
files to CD's and reinstall what I need. I have MS Works and Word installed
but i can't find my Word CD can i save the program from my current setup and
reinstall it. I do have the Norton Ghost CD's but I don't want to reinstall
a copy of the hard drive. Is Ghost selective enough to allow me to only
reinstall what i want? thanks..

Hi,

You cannot save the program from the existing installation, it would need to
be reinstalled from the original installation media (CD). Ghost is an
imaging program, meaning it restores a snapshot of the system as it was in
the point in time that the image was made, it is not selective in the manner
you desire.
