Can I put a thread on annoyances.org about people who just respond
"google it" or "I found this on google" (but obviously didn't read it
or can't fathom some of us have been searching on search engines for
hours on end to find fixes)?

I don't know, can you? Since you are posting from one of those parasite
websites that pretend they are a "tech help forum" but are really
sucking off Usenet posts, I don't know what options are available to
you.

Try using a real newsreader to access Usenet. Since it upsets you to be
told to "Google it", I won't suggest you Google "Usenet". Here are

Since you are using a web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
