He told me that typing just the website as you show does nothing when he
hits "enter". Most times (or all for that matter) mine automatically adds
the "http", as does his two other computers. If he types in the "http://"
then it goes to that website. I don't watch mine every time, but I never
type in the 'http' and all works well.

Pressing the CTRL + ENTER keys do not add prefix http://www. and .com at the
end
