Hi, i have a computre running windows xp. On start up the computer does not
boot up from the hard disk at all. it goes to a blue screen, very quickly and
then restarts. The contents on this blue screen cannot be read.

I then tried to change the boot sequence (so i can re-install windows), but
neither the bootable windows xp cd or the windows xp bot disks work. The
computer tells me that neither contain bootable records. I have checked all
IDE cables etc, but still no luck. I have also tried changing the boot
sequence, with no luck.

can anyone help me

regards

Could be bad memory. If you have multiple sticks, trying using them 1 at a
time.
