Account icon incorrect status

My account icon shows that I have unread e-mail messages from MS outlook, but
I have read all the messages. I have shutdown and restarted XP and still get
a notice next to the icon that I have an unread e-mail message. I've looked
at accounts and MS outlook for help on this issue but I haven't seen a fix.
It may be right in front of me, but I can't see it. What can I do to fix
this?

Hi,

Use TweakUI/Logon/Unread Mail and Repair/Unread Mail Count

Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen (Line 100)

The unread message count is stored in the registry at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
Sometimes this count "sticks".
Take care when editing the registry!
