Hi,

A couple of folders of mine freeze whenever I close them. one of these is a
folder in "my videos" , the other one being an exact back-up of this. Each
contain around 4 Gb's of Video files - 82 of them. They open alright, but
when I close them, the folder itself seems to close alright, but it remains
minimised on the taskbar. Right clicking and choosing close produces an "End
Now" dialogue box; but restarting or shutting down the system causing no
problems. I have each window opening in a new process.

Try to disable generating preview of avi files by deleting registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}\InProcServer32
