Scheduled Task
Win XP Home - SP 2
I get the following message when trying to schedule tasks (this is a new
machine) - I tried using ''Task page Browse button to locate the application
" - no luck
I did a Google search - no answers
"The new task has been created, but may not run because the account
information could not be set. The specific error is:
0x800070005: Access is denied.
Try using the Task page Browse button to locate the application "
Also - is there a site where I can find explanations for the error codes?
TIA
Bill

Hi
Are you using a password with XP Home - if not try the following link to
Kelly's web site:
Line 67 - left hand side
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Which particular task(s) are you trying to schedule or does the error apply
to all Tasks?

Will,
I am using XP "Home" - came on machine - should have ordered "Pro", which I
had on old machine
I could not get ANY task to work - the patch from Kelly's site worked - with
everything but 'Disk Defragmenter'
I remember seeing a 'fix' for this somewhere - will try to track it down.
Thanks for your help
