Windows explorer in XP

When I list the contents of a folder in Windows Explorer in 2000 or NT, I
get a count of the files in the bottom border of the window. This is not
happening on my XP system. Is this a "feature" of XP, or is it a setting in
Explorer that I don't know about?

Hi

Open Windows Explorer and enable View>Status Bar. Then go to Tools>Folder
Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders. Restart Windows Explorer.
