So, you're going from 99% red-fragmented, to 99% blue-contiguous.

99% is pretty good

The After looks way better then the Before.

Defrag does not compact, it defragments drives.

[[Disk Defragmenter consolidates fragmented files and folders on your
computer's hard disk, so that each occupies a single, contiguous space on
the volume. As a result, your system can gain access to your files and
folders and save new ones more efficiently. By consolidating your files and
folders, Disk Defragmenter also consolidates the volume's free space, making
it less likely that new files will be fragmented.]]

Compact refers to disk compression or compacting a database.

Judging by the answers I'm getting, none. There is not a lot of contiguous
free space anywhere, which would let an extremely large file go on without
having to be split up. This particular party had had all her files
compressed which was not really necessary. So I uncompressed them. I don't
know if that had anything to do with the scattering out or not. I was
tempted to copy the whole drive off onto another one and then back again.
Pending on whatever opinions I got here. I guess I'll leave it alone.
