Start>Run services.msc [enter]

Scroll down to the Indexing Service, stop it and disable it.

You can disable it in admin tools> services

Hi

From Start>Run type

services.msc

then scroll down to the Indexing Service. Right click on it and select
Stop. Then right click on it again, select Properties and make sure that
the drop down menu is set to 'Disable'. On the next reboot the Indexing
Service shouldn't start.
