Hi

My system has Win xp as operating system.
I need to access "Database Replication" folder, which is available in
following location.
\\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared folder.

I have also checked some other PCs , have the same folder in the said
location.

But in client's environment some of the PCs have WinXP as OS but does not
have the "Database Replication" folder in the said location.

I want to say that this is not related with SQL Server installation.

Because i have also checked more than 5 PCs does not have SQL server
installed on it but have the same folder.

So i want to know why some pcs does not have this folder, is there any
software installation is responsible for the creation of this folder.

Thanks in advance to looking into the stuff.

Are you referring to the files needed to launch WZCNFLCT.EXE whose
properties are:
"Replication Conflict Viewing and Resolution for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0
and Microsoft Jet 4.0"?

SQL Server is self-explanatory. Microsoft Jet is the database engine for the
MS Access database program.

Yes , we have setup the replication scenario.
Error Description:-
We are getting the following error message when user tries to synchronize.
Error Message:-"The process failed to get information about the interactive
resolve component from the registry"

Solution suggested by Microsoft support group:-
Generally, the error is related to some missing dll/rll files or the
un-registered dll files. Please check:
1. Whether wzcnf.dll is existing under the \Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Database Replication\Conflict Viewer\ folder;
2. Whether wzcnfrc.rll is existing under the \Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Database Replication\Conflict Viewer\Resources\1033\
directory;
3. Try to register wzcnf.dll manually and see if that resolves the issue.

When i tried to locate the requested DLLs , i found some of the systems does
not have 'Database Replication' folder (OS is Win xp).

So i would like to know what the reason behind this.

Thanks for looking into the stuff.
