windows media player not working

Hi I’ve just signed on with broadband and i keep running into
problems,the latest is my windows media player...when i click the link
i get an error message ’ an internal application error has occurred’ i
never had any problems before and don’t have much computer
knowledge..i use windows xp and have downloaded windows media player10
update from the internet in a bid to remedy the error but it didn’t
work.

hope someone has a solution..... thanks

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.
5. In the Open box, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then click OK.
6. Click OK.
