Hello,
We are building some new XP SP2 portable images and have noted that the Task
Manager, if launched and left open, will crash some 15 minutes later (even if
the system sits idle) with an Application Error (The instruction at
"0x100001040" referenced memory at "0x100001040". The memory could not be
"Read"). The same thing occurs if TM is open when we go to log off or shut
down the system.
Perhaps related, when the system's screen saver activates, TM crashes if
open and a drwatson32.exe error will appear (Application Error - The
exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application
at location 0x59a7295d).
We have noticed this on several different systems.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated - thanks!
