Right after I ran the latest windows update a few days ago which ran about
6-8 security updates, I have a 30 SECOND pause from when I double-click on a
file in Win Explorer until it shows up in a viewer, e.g., if I click a PDF
filename, it takes 30 seconds to show in Acrobat Reader. That's when Acro
Reader is already minimized. If it isn't preloaded, the wait is 35 seconds,
so that implies to me that something is napping for a half-minute for no good
reason. Similarly with JPG files showing up in their viewer Lview Pro, etc.
etc. Symantec says I am virus-free, and Spybot S&D says I'm spyware/trojan
free. Task Mgr shows 2%-5% CPU usage. Any ideas? Thanks!! Steve
