hello,
i remember reading something a while ago that said that passwords expire. i
was wondering how long it takes for a password to expire?

It depends on how you set them! This is a feature of XP Pro and is
normally used in office network environments for security purposes.

Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer Management | Local Users
and Groups | Users. Double click a specific user. Password never
expires. If you don't have that checked then the password will expire
after x number of days depending on what is set in group policy.

hi malke,
are you saying that people that have the home version of win xp, don't have
passwords that could expire or that there is no group policy/editor in the
home version?
