Shortcuts on desktop

Good day. I have several shortcuts that I continue to delete on my desktop.
I will then re-boot and the shortcuts will re-appear. I am working on a
small network. Any ideas how to make them go away for good.
Thanks,

It might help if we knew which shortcuts appear again after deletion..

Possible that they are in the "All Users" desktop (typically C:\Documents and
Settins\All Users\Desktop" Check here to see if they delete there as well.
It could be that you are deleting them from "your" profile and not from all
users profile.
Another possibility is that you have Malware, Adware, or Virus on your
computer. They often create shortcuts. Check in the Start
Menu>Programs>Startup directory to see if there are any 'strange' programs
here that shouldn't be running, and remove them if you can.
I would recommend running "Adaware" from lavasoft, to check for adware, and
also get a good malware remover. Be sure your virusscan definition files are
up to date and run a comprehensive scan.
Hope this helps,
Jason
