Windows XP firewall

Hi All

Just wondering what I have to put in the windows firewall exception list to
allow machines to:

A. be pinged ?
B. have the administrators share accessable for the domain admin ?

is it even possible ?

Gerry,

to allow ping requests:
Windows Firewall
Advanced Tab
Select the network connection (there will be one for our LAN and one for
each dial up or vpn connection)
Click [Settings]
ICMP tab
Tick "Allow incoming echo request"
[OK]

the administrators share should be enabled by default (it is on our pcs), to
disable it must be somewhere in the local (or domain) policy, but I've not
explored there so can't tell you where.
