My XP Pro system has suddenly developed a really weird problem.

If I try to drag a file from one folder to another, when I let go of
the left mouse button a window opens trying to install Roxio Easy
Media Creator (which I have) and asks for the CD.

If I hit cancel, the file I am dragging copies without problem.

How can I stop this???

Any help appreciated.

For anything that happens suddenly (eg recently started) I usually try a
system restore - eg back a day or two.

but then I also keep nightly images/backups of my entire hard drive in case
system restore does anything nasty.

What would happen if you let it attempt to install Roxio?
Just go through the motions, and then maybe a registry value will be
added that will stop this behaviour.
