Maximising

I am finding that my pages are less than full size when I switch on and I
need to maximise them each time.
Presumably there is a setting somewhere to 'lock' the page size but I can't
find it.
Advice, please?

Open the page. Stretch it to the size you want. Close it. Reopen it.
