After this update is installed Windows XP home won't start up. It continues
to cycle back to initial boot sequence as soon as Windows XP load screen
appears. I can boot up in Safe Mode only. If I choose to boot with last
known settings that work the taskbar, start menu and all icons will disappear
shortly after the desktop comes up (leaving it completely useless). I can
only launch programs using the Task Manager.
I've had to reinstall Windows multiple times now. The only software I've
installed are Norton Antivirus 2004 and various hardware and DSL drivers.
These and all other windows updates install ok until I update VM with the
security update. Please help!
