find some of her files I think some txt files or such. The upgrade shouldn t
have deleted any files I hope.Could it have ust moved them or did it change
them or even delete them? Please respond

Windows 9x/ME probabily had a standard "My Documents" folder. Since XP is a
multi-user system, it should now be in "C:\Document and Settings", under a
specific USER name.

This shows the importance of backing up all important files before doing any
upgrades.
Try using the Search facility available on the start menu. Good luck.
