After you did the Repair Install, did you restore the MS Patches and end up
with the same problems? If not, what happened? Just to ket you know, if
your turn OFF Auto Update, and go to "Custom" install for Windows Update,
you will probably no longer get this if you do NOT install the following
patches:
KB893086
KB893066
KB890923
KB890859
KB885835
KB885250
One or two of these may be OK, but I discovered that this same thing
repeatedly happened to me if I installed these patches.
