Card Readers for XP

Can anyone recommend a brand of internal multi-card reader that works
with XP (meaning it woks as Admin and in the normal User login)? I
bought a generic one and it does not work; I learned my $10 lesson and
realize I need to do some real shopping and comparison. The only one I
see at my local store is by Vantec, but their web site doesn't work
right and has no email link so I can't even ask them about it.

What kind of card Reader ? SmartCard ? Memory Card ? To support what ?
You say Internal. Do you mean to fit a 3.5" bay or a 5.25" bay ?

Internal meaning a 3.5 bay. Reader meaning all in one, every kind of
kind, usually I think that means 4 slots, 6 different kinds of cards.
The one I have only works with XP when logged in as Admin, but this is
for a cafe, so it has to be logged in as the non-admin User. And then
the reader doesn't seem to exist, in fact, once you log in as user and
then go back to admin, it still won't work, like logging in as the user
wiped it out and I have to reinstall it. No good. I need one that
REALLY works with XP, like any other driver, CD or floppy, plug and
play and it actually works.

I have a 19-in-1 external (USB2) reader which works perfectly. Only cost me
about £10. Reads: -
SmartMedia
Compact Flash (all flavours)
SD
MMC
MicroDrive
MS/MS Pro
Which rather begs the question why it's called '19-in-1' when it only
supports 7 kinds of card... Anyway, just wondering why it has to be
internal. It works under all types of account (I have hooked it up to my
parents' system - they use limited accounts - and it works fine).

It's for a cafe, so space is a bit limited as well as I don't want
someone unplugging it and walking off with it.
What brand is it? The one I got was also $10, but there's no brand name
at all, no logo, no web site, nothing, so I can't even contact anyone
about it. I'll gladly buy another since they're inexspensive, but only
if I know for sure it will work under all XP logins, otherwise it's
useless. It says it's XP compatible but it's obviously not.

Note I said £10, not $10, so that's about $18 or so, I reckon. The brand on
it states "GTech" and it's about the size of a pack of playing cards. Works
fine for me.

I have had very good results using Lexar's USB 2.0 Multicard
Reader ($28 at Wal-Mart). It will work with about 10
different types of media, including micro-drives. It has
four openings for media and will function as four drives,
you can copy from one card to another or to your hard drive.
