frequencey problem

when my windows xp is starting up a little red box appears with frequencey
out of range with some numbers also displayed for only split second can some
one help me how to solve this i know it has something to do with my monitor
connection but what i dont know

This is normal if you have not set up the monitor / video card configuration
correctly!
Click: Start ---> Control Panel ---> Display ---> Settings
and make sure that you set the
Screen resolution AND Color Quality correctly.
Then, click on Advanced and make sure that you have set:
1) Adapter correctly ----> This should list out the correct video card
that you have
2) Monitor correctly ---> Should list out you monitor make and model
or Plug and Play if your monitor is too generic.

Hi,
Change your screen refresh rate under
Desktop/Properties/Settings/Advanced/Monitor to sixty.
