XP Home , SP 2 , H/P Pavillion 7020 ,
Hello , I opened 'eventvwr' / Appliction shows multiple "Warning' everyday .
Source : MsiInstaller . Events 1001 & 1002 , User : VIP & Network Service . I
searched for 'MsiInstaller' .. no find . I searched Microsoft.com and found
Microsoft Installer , is this same ? DO I need this program Microsoft
Installer & MsiInstaller .

Hello Kelly ; Well , I posted in XP BAsics / Losing tray icons . This is the
only problem thus far . I reomoved 'Baseline security' and even though losing
tray icons is a periodic occourance about every 3 days , I notice this
occourance has been awhile since last . I wrote the date and time of losing
'icons' and no match to the exact time of these MsiInstaller warnings . I
will not worry about the MsiInstaller warnings for now , will seek info sent
from S.Sengupta . Thank You Kelly .

Hello , Event 1001 & 1004 are listed in eventvwr , user VIP and Network
Server for source MsiInstaller . My OS does not need this MsiInstaller as it
seems . Still there are multiple entries = 40 in just 2 hours . I run
spyware remover often and have Spyware blocker , no detected viruses .
Supposing I will get used to seeing these items at least for now . No way to
block them and if these warnings are harmless , then no worry . Thank you .

Hello , The MsiInstaller Warnings are as follows ::: Detection of product
{7797C70B-11EB-446A-9B1E-3D9039DB51F} FEATURE ' TACore , component
{5CC2D105-DDDD-4EC4-8B74-750194E57B99} failed . The resource
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstallShield\UpdateService\ does not exist . I ,
of course , to the TACore website , then I closed that window . In regdgt32
, HKEY_... \UpdateService folde opened , shows ab (default) . Type : REG_SZ
.. I also entered http://www.tacore.com/ into 'Block List' in Nortons 'Block
List' to test the MsiInstaller warning events and look for a stop to the
events . I hope this info helps . Shall I leave tacore.com/ blocked ? Is
TACore needed ? How may I setup in 'HKEY_...' to correct if TACore in needed

[Installer]

Still getting it . The PC runs great . I have research and research with
suggestions per reply from this post , and thank you . However , the pc gets
pelted with these warnings of MsiInstaller . This is the one and only problem
I haven't tacked yet . All other pc situations , I have managed to clear up
thanks to newsgroups . MsiInstaller will be a bugger it seems to me . Thank
you everyone . I check in on this post time to time . Perhaps a solution will
be found . I will reply if and when a solution is found from this end .
