Is it OK to uninstall AOL IM without causing problems? I haven't used this
program in months and really have no use for it. I do not subscribe to AOL
as my internet provider; I just have the instant messanger. When
uninstalling, should I disable my Norton Anti-Virus?

Yes, AOL Instant Messenger can be uninstalled safely. You will find a
reference for it in Control Panel > Add/Remove programs.
Disabling Norton is not needed, unless you suspect this might cause any
problems during uninstalling.
