You either burn it to a CD/DVD-R or use a program like
ISOBuster to access the contents. .ISO is an encapsulated
module, think of it like a Zipped module.
The XP Built-in CD burning utility cannot handle an ISO,
so you'll need a 3rd-Party program like Nero or Easy CD
Creator.

Try Here :

http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/

There's a small explanatory file on how to use the programme :-)

If the ISO file was created using this:
http://www.winimage.com/winimage.htm
You can restore individual files with this:
http://www.winimage.com/extract.htm

If the ISO is an image of a CD, it can be burned directly to CD using burner
software with that capability. The original CD should be the result.

You dont open .isos. You use a burning program that can handle the
burning of a cd image file, aka an iso.

In other words, lets say I create a standard cd and put all my utility
files on it, perhaps it may contain 200 folders and 1000 files within
those folders. I can use most
any burning program to create an image of THAT cd, which will be
contained in a SINGLE
iso file that one can send to another person to burn. Your cd burning
program has to
support the proper burning of images.

Although the norm, an ISO file always mean it was originally sourced from a
CD.

Yes I realize that but most questions regarding isos are from people who
just dont know what they are.
