I have a personal user account on Windows XP.I was in ahurry one day and i
did not switch off the system properly. i accidently clicked the 'log off'
button and then the 'turn off' button(i actually do not remember properly
what had happened). the next time i logged in, as usual it asked me for the
PW and i entered but the unusual part was that that it took a lot of time to
log in(it showed a message-your profile cannot be loaded as it might be
corrupted), and when logged in-i find my desktop changed, my personal files
folders(including the backup files),desktop items are missing. It looks like
a new system that has never been used. Please help how do i get my old
settings back where are all my files and folders....i realllllyyyy need
help!!!

I'm no expert and I'm sure this is totally off base for advice...
But maybe if you did a System Restore to before this all took effect..that
may retore the system to the way is way prior to the log off?

Sincerely,
Apeke
