i have a message saying that the image ntvdm.exe is possibly corupt. the
header checksum does not mach the computed checksum. any suggestions?

When are you getting the error message? At system bootup or from within
Windows?

i was getting it at boot up. i fixed the problem a few minutes ago by
booting from the windows xp os disk and running system recovery. thank you
so much.
