hi friends, which software can I use to encrypt documents? I rather a
freeware one, if is possible.

can I encrypt a entire folder?

File encryption is a feature available in Windows XP Professional.

If you wish to encrypt your documents, you'll need to
upgrade to Windows XP Professional. File encryption
is not available with Windows XP Home Edition.
