In the Administrative Tools I un-checked this program several weeks ago
except for the drives letters I use.
I was looking for the services that use too much resources when I first turn
on my computer & my computer locks up for 4 or 6 seconds. (Mouse, or DVD or
Music will stop.) I forgot about the USB Drive I sometimes use between my
desktop & laptop. Now I can't see the USB Drive because it is one of the
drive letters I un-checked. Opps.
Old age, now I can't find how I did that. I have been reading "Inside WinXp
Book" at the time.

Are you sure you didn't use TweakUI? Even if you didn't, you can download,
install and use it's interface to repair the damage - it updates the same
registry keys, just maybe a little different user interface.
