Hello,

How do you find or create a recently used file document list? Can you only
get that if you open up word? Or can it be from the start menu.
thanks in advance

Click on start, My Recent Documents.

If you are not seeing Recent Documents on the start menu, use Taskbar/Start
Menu properties> Start Menu> Customize and check the box to add this item.

Hi stewart, there is not that facility here in my computer. I can't see it
anywhere thats why I asked where is it supposed to be.

If in Tools, Folder options, View, you set it to show hidden and system,
then Navigate to
"C:\Documents and settings\username\My Recent Documents"
you should see shortcuts to all recently accessed files

BUT if you have some "privacy software" running to wipe out traces, then
you won't have that anymore.

Right click the Start button, left click Properties on the resulting context menu. When
the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window opens click the Customize button on the right
side of the line that says: Start menu. When the Customize Start Menu window opens click
the Advanced tab. At the bottom of the Advanced tab where the heading says: Recent
documents, click your left mouse button to put a checkmark in the box to the left of where
it says: List my most recently opened documents. Then click the OK button at the bottom
of the Advanced tab, and then click the APPLY and OK buttons at the bottom of the
remaining Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window.
