Recently I have a problem displaying file names etc using Windows Explorer
when the files are on another computer that is part of a workgroup or I
attach a USB driven memory card reader and display files on it. The file
and folders appear fine for about 1 minute then the whole screen blanks out
and windows explorer is absent when the desktop reappears. This has
startedto occour about a few weeks ago. Up until then teh system was fine
with no problems what so ever. What has me baffeled is that I can show
files and directories fine using file open dialog boxes such as that in
Word.

Any suggestions anybody.

The Explorer is crashing and restarting. This may come from some
software - including malware - running in the background. See
