System Monitor ?

I am new to XP Pro and have the following query.
Is there a way to get a display similar to System Monitor in Win98se.
That is a graphical display of the number of bytes sent and received over a
dial up connection??

I am sure there must be something in Windows Task Manager under Networking
but I cannot get it to do it.

Any help please.

Have a look in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Performance

Hey Jon

I knew there must be more to this XP than I was finding :)
That system monitor is 100% more powerful than my old one. I guess I have a
lot to learn, but isn't that the fun part?
Thanx for the quick response.
I Had a few great years lurking in 98 gen discussion but guess I'll hang
here now.

Sorry man, got to ask again. In Performance under Network Interface I added
Bytes sent and received ( I can find no other options ) but it still wont
show the number of bytes on the graph, just a straight line. Should it
monitor the Dial Up modem ??

Try the settings under TCP and the ones under IP. - eg datagrams sent /
received .

Also you can change the scale by right-clicking the graph > properties >
graph
0 to 100 is too much, so try 0 to 10 or 0 to 1 etc

Hope this helps

Also ...

Right-click graph > properties > data tab

Click on the counter concerned

Click the down arrow next to the scale and change the value from the default
eg to 1.0 > Apply
