Please see attached screenshot. While installing the XPE database using the
installation UI, I run accross this error. The machine is running WinXPSP2,
and recently had the SQL server developer edition removed. The MSDE was
installed with setup.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what the reference to E:\ is all about in the error message but
does C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Binn\xpstar.dll exist? Is
there anything odd about your installation of XP (Windows on something other
than C, special environment varaibles for other apps, etc, etc..)
