Short cut menus popping up automatically!

I have a Compaq Presario running XP: 80G hd, 20G external, mouse on serial
port, keyboard on USB. I moved the system yesterday, just 5 feet. When I boot
up, the mouse and keyboard work for a while then start going crazy. The
shortcut (popup menu) that would be generated IF one were to right-click the
Start button on the Taskbar keeps popping up automatically. When this happens
the window I am working in becomes inactive. I have to keep hitting Esc and
clicking on my current window to make it active. This is driving me crazy. I
used the Compaq Recovery disk last night. It took 4 hours and didn't do a
thing. I tried a different mouse. I tried a different keyboard. The menus
just keep popping up on their own. Please help.

Check if everything inside your box is seated properly. Could be something came loose during your move
