Sound is gone

I installed WinAmp and since that there is no sound on the computer.
I have looked in all the usual places to find if something is muted or
turned off, without success. I have Xp Home.

What else is there to check out?

Have you checked the option in Win Amp

OK. Problem solved. The power cord to the amplifier had became unplugged!
