Hi
Am trying to transfer an item to the start menu from my desktop but when
rightclicking it there is no pin to start option. Some items on desktop
have this option and others do not. How am I able to do this. Thanks

I have found that you can not pin a file directly to the start menu. You can
only pin a copy of a shortcut. If there is a way to pin a file to the Start
Menu, I have not yet found it. I am also not aware of any reason to.
