Check disk has been canceled? What the @#$!. I get this error every time I
start my pc. I am the only user for this pc and when I try to do a check disk
and try to fix errors it tells me that I don't have access to do this. I ran
the cmd command in the run box and did the check disk from there and still
when I restart my pc it says the same thing.. What the $$#@!
XP home edition w/ SP2

Verify that your account has administrator rights.
In Start, Run type in CHKDSK /F, press Enter in the cmd window press Y
and then reboot.
Do not press any key at startup or CHKDSK will be cancelled. If you
don't press a key and it still reports it has been cancelled try a
different keyboard as you may have a stuck key.

Try running the edit on Kelly's site, line 82, "Enable Check Disk Upon
Boot" at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Read the top of the page for info on running the edit.
